TRUST DESTROYED

To the Chief Musician. Set to “Do Not Destroy.” A psalm of Joseph a prayer to God about betraying the trust of his wife.

TRUST DESTROYED (Songs in the night)

Trust destroyed as a glass thrown to a wall
No feelings of security only thoughts of betrayal
Shattered demolished pulverized not recognizable at all
Lost in inconstancy imploded sorry Wail!

Trust destroyed in a torrential sense of loss
Trust so jaded not able to see
Crashing turbulence heart no longer soft
fallen in simple complexity

Trust destroyed feelings of abandonment no more to say
What should the punishment be?
Lost love complex in utter disarray
Eternal loneliness solace remembered failure for all to see

Trust destroyed rotten putrid decay inside
A white washed tomb pretty to see
Any one to blame for this decomposing ride
Who’s to blame? Who’s to blame? Who’s to blame? ME!!!

Trust destroyed love is dead life is rough
A trip a journey a foul putrid smell
Sorry but sorry won’t be enough
Polluted Sulfur wasted fecal matter a journey to hell

Trust destroyed can there be a hope
Overwhelming disgrace dishonor no light in sight
The fallen man frustration a way to cope
No man I am a slug slithering in the night

Disobedience once hiding from God’s chastening hand
Restore your once hopeless prodigal son
Give mercy and grace in ways only you can
You are my God my abba my daddy the Holy One

Trust destroyed please make my marriage new
Please touch my marriage with your all healing hand
All things are possible for those who trust and love you
If you don’t I understand.
